ISRO launched the PSLV C54 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the India Bhutan Satellite is a testament to our special relationship with the people of Bhutan. He has Commended Department of Information Technology & Telecom (DITT) Bhutan and ISRO on the successful launch of this jointly developed satellite.

In response to a tweet by the PM of Bhutan who presented a message from His Majesty The King on the successful launch of India-Bhutan SAT, the Prime Minister said; "India Bhutan Satellite is a testament to our special relationship with the people of Bhutan. I commend @dittbhutan and @isro on the successful launch of this jointly developed satellite."

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C54 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

The satellite jointly developed by India and Bhutan was launched along with eight other nanosatellites on an Indian rocket, paving the way for the Himalayan country to use high-resolution imagery for the management of its natural resources. The launch of the India-Bhutan SAT was witnessed by a high-level delegation from Bhutan led by Information and Communications Minister Karma Donnen Wangdi.
