NEW DELHI: MoRTH Secretary Alka Upadhyaya has been given the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying.

The Competent Authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways to Ms. Alka Upadhyaya, IAS (MP:1990), Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying with immediate effect and till the assumption of the charge of the post by Shri Anurag Jain, IAS (MP:1989); an order by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet said.

She has also served as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development, Director General of the National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency, CEO of the National Rural Livelihood Mission, and Director General of the Council for Advancement of Peoples’ Action and Rural Technology.
