NEW DELHI: Anurag Jain has assumed charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), NITI Aayog. A 1989-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, Jain brings nearly four decades of rich experience in public administration, governance and policymaking.
Anurag Jain has held several key positions during his distinguished career. He has previously served as Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh, Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, and Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
His extensive experience across the state and central governments is expected to further strengthen NITI Aayog’s role in strategic policymaking, economic development and cooperative federalism.
With his wide-ranging administrative experience and expertise in infrastructure, industry and governance, Jain is expected to provide valuable leadership to NITI Aayog as it continues to support India’s development priorities and long-term growth objectives.
