NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced the appointment of Aruna Gulati as the Head of its Solar Business Division, signaling a renewed push into India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.

Gulati holds a B.Tech and M.Tech in Electrical Engineering and brings 35 years of service at BHEL, having joined the company on 21 October 1991. Her elevation signals a continued focus on the solar energy portfolio within the state-owned engineering and manufacturing enterprise.

The disclosure was made to the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. 

In her new role, Gulati will be responsible for steering BHEL’s solar initiatives, including project development, execution, and strategic partnerships. The move comes as the company looks to strengthen its position in the clean energy market and align with India’s ambitious renewable energy targets.

Gulati brings with her over two decades of experience in the power and energy sector, with a strong background in project management, engineering, and renewable energy solutions. Prior to this appointment, she held several key leadership roles within the organization, contributing to large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.
