NEW DELHI: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for appointment of Daljit Singh Chaudhary (IPS) as Director General (DG) of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

Chaudhary is a 1990-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) service officer of Uttar Pradesh. Presently, he is serving as Special Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Earlier, he had served as additional director general in Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). He perfectly suits the post as he has experience of serving in para military as well state police force in leadership capacity.

According to the order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of joining the post and up to November 30, 2025 i.e. date of his superannuation or till further orders whichever is earlier.
