NEW DELHI: The government has appointed various senior IPS officers to key central poosts, in an order issued recently.

Ashok Kumar (IPS: 2006: HP), Director, Department of Justice, has been appointed as Inspector General, Border Security Force.

Dr. Ilyas K P A (IPS: 2011: NL) has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General/Deputy Director in Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) for a period of five years.

Alka Nangia Arora (IDAS: 1991), Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Department of Agricultural Research and Education, has been repatriated to her parent cadre.

Tenure of K B Vandana (IPS: 2004: RJ), IG, NIA, has been extended for a period of one year. The tenure of additional charge of Director General, Directorate General of Factory Advice Service and Labour Institute (DGFASLI) to Alok Mishra (IIS: 1998), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, has been extended for a period of six months.

Ashish Kumar Mishra (IAS: 2021: UK) has been transferred from Uttarakhand Cadre to Rajasthan Cadre in view of his marriage to Dr. Anshu Priya (IAS: 2022: RJ).
