NEW DELHI: Mahaveer Singhvi has assumed charge as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India. A senior Indian diplomat, he previously served as Joint Secretary in the ministry.
Widely respected for his multidisciplinary professional background, Singhvi brings a rare blend of legal, financial, and strategic expertise to India’s foreign policy establishment. His qualifications span diplomacy, law, chartered accountancy, company secretarial practice, cost and management accountancy, and business administration (MBA).
In his new role as Additional Secretary, MEA, Singhvi is expected to play a significant role in shaping India’s external relations, contributing to high-level policy formulation, and strengthening the country’s international engagements. His elevation reflects the Government of India’s confidence in his ability to manage complex diplomatic and strategic responsibilities at senior levels of governance.
