NEW DELHI: Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Atul Gupta for the position of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Engineers India Limited (EIL).

Gupta is currently serving as Director (Commercial) in the Company. He is a Mechanical Engineer from GBPUAT Pantnagar and joined EIL as Management Trainee in 1992. 

In a career spanning 30 years, has been associated in a wide array of domain and steered the successful implementation of various mega projects in India and abroad involving various modes of execution. 

During project implementation, led the multidisciplinary team of Technical and Commercial domain involving Process, Engineering, Contracts & Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction and Commissioning in both green field and brown field projects. 

He had also been posted at various Project locations in India and abroad involving Refinery, Petrochemical, Pipeline, Fertilizer etc. before moving to corporate office in 2007.

EIL is a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
