NEW DELHI: Saleem Ahmad has assumed the charge of Chairman & Managing Director of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited.

Earlier, he was working as Director (Project) at NBCC (India) Ltd. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi and brings over 35 years of extensive experience in the construction sector. 

His background encompasses the execution of largescale infrastructure projects, with specialised expertise in bridges, tunnels, as well as residential and commercial developments. 

Prior to joining NBCC, Saleem Ahmad served as Executive Director (Civil) at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. and previously held a position at Mumbai Port Trust. 

Throughout his distinguished career, he has contributed significantly to sustainable infrastructure, presenting papers at national and international forums and playing a pivotal role in designing and implementing last-mile connectivity solutions during his tenure at DMRC.
