NEW DELHI: Samuel Praveen Kumar has assumed charge as Director (M&CP), Central Warehousing Corporation for a tenure of five years.

Kumar holds a strong academic background, which includes an M.Sc. in Agri Entomology (Gold Medalist) , PGDPM&IR, DMMT&LM, and MBA (Marketing) qualifications.

Kumar has multidimensional experience in the fields of Warehousing, Logistics and Supply chain having served in Central Warehousing Corporation since 1997 in various capacities including serving as Regional Manager of Bhubaneswar, Bangalore and Hyderabad regions for about a decade . He also served as General Manager (Commercial) at CWC Corporate Office for 2 years looking after the operations of the corporation and actively contributing in Project Management and Strategic Decision Making.

Before assuming his current role, he served as Joint Secretary (Extension, Investment and Price Support) in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare (December 2021 - June 2025). During this tenure, he played a pivotal role in developing policies and digital initiatives in Agriculture Extension, Revamping of Market Price Support schemes like PSS, PDPS , MIS under integrated scheme of PM AASHA, streamlining Government procedures and effectively implementing the medium to long-term debt financing for creation of post- harvest management infrastructure and Viable community farming assets under the flagship scheme of Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) .

With his extensive experience, strategic acumen, and leadership skills, Samuel Praveen Kumar continues to contribute significantly to the growth and advancement of the warehousing and Logistics sectors.
