NEW DELHI: Saroj Kumar, IAS has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

An order by the Department of Personnel & Training stated: “I am directed to convey that the Competent Authority has approved the appointment of Shri Saroj Kumar, IAS(UP:2008), as Director in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier. He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.”

Saroj Kumar is an IAS officer of the 2008 Uttar Pradesh cadre. He has also served in various capacities in UP government.
