NEW DELHI: Shilpa Shinde assumes charge as Chairman and Managing Director of WAPCOS. She is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2006 batch from the AGMUT (UT) cadre. 

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Gulbarga University, Gulbarga, Karnataka India. During her distinguished career, she has held several key positions of responsibility, including: Commissioner Labour, Government of NCT of Delhi; ⁠Commissioner & Secretary, Development Department; ⁠Chief Executive Officer, Delhi Jal Board (DJB), Government of NCT of Delhi; ⁠Managing Director, Delhi Transport Corporation; ⁠Addl Commissioner, Muncipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD); ⁠Special Commissioner (T&T); ⁠Director WCD & Social Welfare Department, Government of Delhi. 

With rich experience in the fields of Urban Development, Water Resources, Social Welfare she has contributed significantly to governance and service delivery in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. 

She is poised to lead WAPCOS Limited and further strengthen the Organization’s role in Infrastructure Development, Water Resources, and Power sector consultancy services, both in India and Abroad.
