NEW DELHI: Vishwanath Suresh has assumed charge as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of MOIL Ltd.

Vishwanath Suresh is a Metallurgical Engineer from  National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing and a certificate in the Advanced Strategic Management course from IIM Kozhikode. Before joining MOIL Limited, V. Suresh was Director (Commercial) at NMDC Limited and Director-In-Charge of NMDC Steel Limited. Prior to this, he held the post of Executive Director - Coal Imports and Corporate Materials Management at SAIL.

With a long service spanning over three decades in the Steel and mining  sector, his career is marked by versatile experience in fields such as production, sales and marketing of both domestic and international , procurement, strategic management and policy. He has led numerous initiatives for systems improvement, Strategic growth plans, International Strategy, boosting sales and revenue.

He has also served as a Director in other group companies of NMDC, such as NMDC CSR Foundation, NMDC–CMDC Limited, Bastar Railway Private Limited, Krishnapatnam Railway Company Limited, Jharkhand National Mineral Development Corporation Limited and Legacy Iron Ore Limited.
